Reviewing my Internship Plan

I could not work with or for a better person or leader than Dr. Juneria Berges!  In the 2 years that I have worked with her, I have learned so much.  I am excited that she is my site supervisor and value the relationship we continue to develop.
When I met with her about my internship plan, she evaluated it with wisdom and understanding.  Huntsville ISD central office is a small, efficient group.  All of us do a variety of activities each day and she understands that my job naturally involves a broad range of responsibilities that bridge to the superintendent's role.  The items in my plan that she particularly liked were

•   #2 Competency Area 1:  Strategic Planning- Develop a strategic plan for the electronic posting of PK -12 mathematics,  science and social studies curriculum documents.  Dr. Berges liked this item because of the need that exists to post the curriculum documents in an electronic format.
•   #37 Competency Area 8: Budgeting, Resource Allocation, and Financial ManagementProfessional Affiliations and Resources- Submit a district professional development plan for mathematics, science and social studies teachers PK – 12 Dr. Berges liked this item because of the fact that in Huntsville ISD there has been no systemic plan for professional development. With the current budget cuts, it is essential that the district have a professional development plan so that money can be allotted and spent on the trainings that are vital to the success of teachers and students in the district.

I am looking forward to working with her on this.  I expect to learn even more from her!
