Hello!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have a great deal of experience! I would suggest that where you have listed your work experience that you elaborate a bit on your responsibilities for each position. Good Luck!
I like your use of the term "Professional Accomplishments" instead of awards or honors. That subtitle allows for your to include more than just honors. Congratulations on all your experiences. Although I agree you should probably expand on your work experience, I like the more simplified list approach you selected. It makes for an easier read for those in HR that will be reading many Vitas.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelley,
ReplyDeleteYou do have a wealth of experience! I would like to see something bolded so that they stand out, like the position, the title you hold, etc. I read in the book we should list certain things, but at a training I just went to at Lamar we discussed listing those things that have happened in the recent past, like maybe only going back five years and picking the ones that are the best! Because you have a lot to choose from that may be difficult. Finally add phone numbers on your references and if they are work or cell so if they want to call they can do so at that moment. Once they put your vita down they might forget about you and you don't want that tho happen.Looks great!
Wow! Your vita is very comprehensive. You model the importance of life-long learning. I would love to attend one of your sessions sometime because you have such a breadth of knowledge and experiences. Dr. Payne is going to be a guest speaker this summer for TASSP Board. I'm anxious to hear her again. BTW, I worked with Dr. Berges in GCISD (I was then Becky Rockaway). I had no idea she was now in Huntsville. Please tell her hello! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely do have a great deal of experience. Although your vita is impressive, I too would suggest adding bullets listing responsiblities associated with each position.
